How do I register as an individual?
Registration for Push4Men is easy. Simply create an account using your name and email address under 'Sign Up'. Your username is your email address and you will be able to create a password. Select your Goal, customise your profile page and start sharing. You will receive a confirmation email after registering and be able to kickstart your fundraising with a personal donation.
How do I create or join a team?
Anyone can create a team for Push4Men when registering as a participant. After you have filled-in your personal details you have a choice to create your own team or join a team. When you create a team you will automatically become the designated team captain. As a captain you can invite others to join you. You have the option to show your team as 'open to public', meaning anyone can join your team or 'private', meaning only invited people can join your team. To join a public team simply click on the "Join Us" button on the teams fundraising page. If a team is set to 'private' usually the team captain will send out an invitation to join that team or you will need to ask the team captain to send you an invite.
How many members does each team have?
You can invite as many friends, family or work colleagues as you like to join your team. Together you will work towards your overall team goal and target. Each of you will manage your own personal fundraising account, where you can track your push-ups and fundraising but everyone’s tally will be added up and combined on your team page.
Do I have to do 40 push-ups a day for 10 Days?
No there are several options to suit your level. You can do 40 push-ups over 10 days, form a team to help you, or modify your push-up to a half push-up or something you feel comfortable with. This is the ‘Have-a-go-hero’ goal, 40 push-ups. You might also elect to do 40 push-ups a day for 10 days (Living Legend, 400 push-ups). If you are in a team then everyone in the team can do 40 push-ups each or you can elect to spread 40 push-ups over the group Looking for a bigger challenge? Do 2 or 3 sets of 40 push-ups for 10 days (Men’s Health Warrior 400+). Make it a one-armed push-up or harder.
If I can’t do a full Push-Up can I still take part?
Yes. You can adapt your push-up to suit your level. See ‘Have-a-go-hero’. You can also make a donation or donate to another team or individual.
If I am in a team does the team do 40 push-ups collectively or does each team member have to do 40 push-ups?
The idea is that people do 40 push-ups each over 10 days if they can manage the challenge. If this becomes too difficult, they can elect to share the load with teammates.
Can I just donate to Men’s Health? How can I do that?
Yes, you can donate to an individual or team taking part in Push4Men and the funds will support work to improve men’s health through the Australian Men’s Health Forum (AMHF).
If you would like to donate directly to AMHF, you can do so here.
How do I find a team or individual to donate to?
Simply search for an individual or team under ‘DONATE’. If you don’t know the name of the team, search for the name of a particular fundraiser in the team. You can access anyone’s team from their profile page.
Are donations tax deductible?
All donations over $2 are tax-deductible. Anyone who donates will automatically receive a tax receipt via email.
